Data first
I start with the numbers. At work, at home and on myself.
I have logged 934 sessions on Strava since 2021, and the Whoop has been on my wrist since 2022. The house pulls its electricity use hour by hour from Eloverblik, and the meal plan reads the calendar before it suggests anything. I would rather know than guess.
At work it is the same habit. Facts on the table before the decision, and I happily change my mind when the numbers point somewhere else. Hogan says the same: I would rather decide on data than on gut feeling.
I am often early with new technology. Connected injection devices in 2010, pharma's first partner network built on data exchange, and today AI in most of what I do. What I learn along the way usually ends up on QuickWinExec.

How I use AI
I use AI every day. For research, for getting my notes in order, for stress-testing an argument before I write it, and for the small systems in the Workshop.
AI can write a first draft. It does not know what I mean. The opinions and the stories here are mine, and I can stand behind every number. Most of them trace straight back to my CV. Nothing goes out under my name before I have read and corrected it myself.
I advise on AI. It would be odd not to use it. Odder still to hide it.
